STEP 5 –
GAS REGISTRATION
When
Your ACS Certificates are approved, you
will be added to the national database of accredited engineers. From
here you
are eligible to apply for gas registration or employment with a gas
registered
company. Remember that your route here is essential to turning your
investment
into a career and income, especially if your intention is to become
self
employed. It can be extremely difficult if you are only now ready to
get some
lead engineer experience, because finding a company who will now employ
you and
pay you to train you to lead engineer standard is like searching for a
needle
in a haystack. A simple check in your classifieds and online will
demonstrate
this. References and evidence of Solo, and Lead engineer competence,
skill
levels, and other formal criteria will be the first thing on an
employers mind.
For
confident candidates solo registration
will be a matter of fact and direct application can be made. This is
followed
by a 3 month probationary period in which Gas Safe Register will need
to
confirm your competency. All of our candidates have easily passed their
probationary periods.
For
less confident students who have completed
stage 2 and 3 with our own trainers and assessors you are welcome to
join our
Kick Start Gas program where you undertake your first 3 to 6 months Gas
Registered With CTSGroup and are provided technical gas safety support
whilst
undertaking your own gas work. We complete your initial audits during
this time
to build confidence and demonstrate personal references and evidence of
Field
engineer experience.
It’s Time to
Turn Your Investment into an Income, and we provide 6 months post
registration
support to help you with technical issues on site. You will receive our
Engineer Field Pack, which includes Gas Wizard software to guide you
through
your job now that you are onsite. This includes servicing, gas safety
inspections, Boiler repairs, commissioning and lots more.

HOW
DO WE ACHIEVE OUR RESULTS
When it comes
to corgi gas training, gas safety awareness, and gas safe
courses, UK GAS TRAINING have been leading the way
with fully functional gas safe courses that integrate the most
important and truly fundamental part of the training process. Let's
face it, anyone can attend a college or training centre and undertake a
gas safe course, but not everyone is going to be fortunate enough to be
trained where it matters, On the Job, in the field. It is not
just a case of completing your theory and practical, then building a
portfolio unless you are already employed by a gas company who are
doing your 'Real Training'. This has meant that
most training providers are leaving their students to find a way of
building portfolios rather than undergoing actual training in the
field. Most work placements result in little if any experience.
The other
important factor is that without a qualified Gas Safe Assessor to
confirm your competency on the job in the field over the full scope of
the gas safety installation and use regulations, many engineers are
entering the field and applying for gas safe registration without any
where near sufficient understanding and solo field skills, and this is
coming to light very soon after completion of the courses when the
engineer tries to get a job, or in fact register with gas
safe. Gas Safe Register have been appointed by the Health and
Safety Executive as the new body running the gas registration and gas
safety awareness scheme.
UK GAS
TRAINING are consistently exceeding our clients' wildest
dreams. Operating the most unique gas safety awareness training, corgi
gas training, gas safe courses and kick start gas safe registration
scheme anywhere in the UK. Our Gas Safe Courses all centre around one
to one on the job field training and assessment on all the gas safety
skills needed to undertake this field of work. This means that our
engineers are not only trained, but also assessed by qualified trainers
and assessors On The Job in a Solo environment. This Suits our self
employed clients seeking individual registration on
completion. Your theory, practical, and field gas safe
engineer training is carried out in your own area, around your existing
commitments, to fit your current timetable and budget, one on one by
the most highly qualified Ex British Gas, Ex-Corgi, and Gas-Safe
Registered, NVQ, Accredited Assessors and Training Instructors in the
UK. You won't have to find a gas safe work placement. We are the work
placement, In fact we are the field trainers and assessors who train
and monitor many of the gas companies and gas engineers who are out
there right now and we are training them to be amongst the top 10% of
technically qualified and successful gas heating maintenance engineers
in the UK. That means all your gas safe training course is direct and
specific. This is the One Gas Safe Course where our Engineering
Students are being taught by the best to be the best and you are being
trained on real gas in real properties in real life, servicing and
maintaining real installations.
Our method of
gas training, and on site gas safety awareness delivery also means that
the time period for you to be trained and then assessed is accurate to
your own rate of learning and competency. More importantly, on
successful completion You will be able to work anywhere in
the UK. On completion of this Gas Safe Course many of our students are
starting their careers registered with us so we can gently ease them in
to the field overcoming nerves and confidence issues. More importantly
we are ensuring their entry to the work place is successful and above
all else safe. We are not just offering a gas safe course, we are
providing sales and marketing training, confidence building, and above
all else training engineers to start bringing gas safety awareness to
their customers. Our field gas training and assessment has uncovered a
frightening lapse in this area and it is incredibly important that all
new gas engineers entering this field enter as professionals servicing
the publics' and HSE's gas safety needs for greater gas safety
awareness and fewer incidents. Remember We aren't offering a work
experience placement with the engineers we train, or asking you to find
your own, we are training you ourselves to become the gas engineers and
trainers of the future. With the current gas industry changes this is
going to be essential. Most importantly, the last stage of your gas
safe course, your post course gas training is completed while you are
setting up your own gas business and already registered with Gas Safe
to ensure your transition into the field is competent and confident.
We are
offering an assured program of success and gas safe registration, a 1
stop gas training, gas safe course, with on going technical
and business support long after your gas training is complete. We are a
small specialist company training mature students with a real business
model, and as such we are usually oversubscribed. If you are serious
about being a successful gas engineer and would like to enrol on our
unique corgi gas training programme , or one of our gas safe courses,
you should reserve your place early to avoid disappointment.
Gas Safety Awareness Training Classes at
your premises with field training support running monthly
Whether you are entering the field as a new
entrant, or an experienced plumber with a level 3 heating and plumbing
craft certificate considering a gas safe course, the single most
important part of your corgi, gas training is always the part that is
also the most difficult to get. Your 'ON THE JOB'
gas
safe training. Without sufficient suitable, auditable evidence of 'you'
working supervised, but in a Solo Position, knowing the work, and doing
it yourself, not just posing for pictures, on gas, you will not be able
to undertake your ACS Assessments needed for Gas Safe Registration, and
if you do, your Gas Safe Course is likely to lead to a very short lived
Gas Safe Registration as many trainees and now training companies are
finding out. More importantly if your gas safe course
includes work experience which has not been with a company who have been
'Training'
you
on the job, you will be expected to find work with a company on
completion of your course who will for a period, 2 years being a good
example, continue to train you in the industry in order to build your
experience to a level where you can safely go solo. Doing a few tests
and getting some photos is not sufficient evidence. And you thought
building the portfolio was difficult! We are a national employer and we
wouldn't employ a new engineer who does not possess sufficient skills,
confidence and know how to undertake gas appliance servicing,
maintenance, repairs and installation on their own. We are hardly going
to pay someone to cost us money. This makes for quite a difficult
prospect for many mature students with essential life skills wanting to
complete gas safe courses.
The next best
thing to a work placement to complete your gas safe training course is
finding a local registered gas engineer, who will take you out and sign
off your portfolio. If you have ever tried that you will know how hard
it is. More importantly you are with an gas engineer who is earning a
living, and will hardly stop on a job for several hours just to train
you. However, if you are so lucky and can afford to take an extended
period of time off work without any income, it is absolutely essential
that you are able to find a company who are able and qualified to
provide you with the essential field 'Training' relevant to the type of
'Gas Work' you intend to undertake. The extended period of time
required is likely to reflect the fact that you will not necessarily be
undertaking much gas work, and that you are relying on what you have
learned during your centre training rather than the gas engineer you
are out with to implement these skills. Unfortunately it is a true
report that indeed a considerable number of field engineers are in as
much need of gas safe training themselves as those entering the
industry. This is our personal experience and that of our
trainees.
Especially for engineers undertaking a gas safe
course whose goal is to undertake gas work on a solo basis, running
their own business on completion of the gas training course,
it is essential that you are able to gain references and
evidence that you are able to undertake work in the
field safely and competently on your own without further assistance,
preferably through assessment by a suitably qualified field Assessor,
such as a Corgi Gas
safe inspector over a suitable period of time. CTSGroup Gas
Training offer this as a mandatory part of your training and
verification process before entering the ACS scheme, making our corgi
gas training, gas safe courses, one of the most specialist programs for
real goal achieving in the industry today.
We provide an
exceptionally exciting field gas training experience as an optional
part of our gas safe courses, and gas safety awareness training, all
provided by qualified and experienced gas safe registered trainers,
assessors and verifiers. Our Ex British Gas, Ex Corgi gas training
instructors and inspectors, not only train you one to one, but after a
detailed briefing, hand you all the tools and equipment, in real life
properties, and have you carry out multiple gas verifiable safety jobs
that relate solely to 'Gas Work' in the area of service, maintenance,
safety inspection, repair, and commission etc. For personnel completing
one of our full gas safety awareness programmes, the field training and
assessment is absolutely essential in verifying their understanding and
ability to use their skills to identify, and make safe any unsafe
situations likely to be encountered in a real life property.
This is a truly uplifting and confidence boosting gas safe training
experience for all our clients needing responsible gas safety awareness
skills, which puts you on the real spot from the outset of your on job
training and assessment stage. Before you undertake your gas
safe registered probationary period and initial gas safe interview and
field inspection you will have been trained, assessed and inspected by
our own inspection team to prove your competence 'on the job'.
To Sum up
this cautionary note:
If you are wanting to enter
this lucrative industry through a gas safe course, be it City and
Guilds or a Managed Learning program, or even an in house gas training
scheme, to enjoy a great income, truly rewarding job, and retirement
potential, skimping on this 'Essential' part of your training is not
going to lead you to the goal you are probably seeking. We know because
we are picking up the phone to hundreds of people every month who have
already invested all their funds 'Up Front' without reading the small
print. Since this is the Most Important part of your training, hiring a
Qualified Field Trainer/Assessor becomes a natural part of the course,
and you will be pleased to know that we undertake professional training
in every stage, centre, field, ACS Assessment.
You don't
have to take our word for it, If you don't believe us we are happy to
furnish you with the actual contact details of the people we have
successfully trained in the field and helped build successful
portfolios. Ask our competitors to do this, we dare you !
To
date UK GAS TRAINING are the single leading provider
of the most essential part of your gas training. Your Field Training.

business inside out". That's what CTSGroup are about. Training you, in
